THE COMMERCIAL DRONE ALLIANCE WELCOMES DOORDASH TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 Jim O’Sullivan to lend expertise in CDA’s effort to restore American leadership in commercial drone technology

WASHINGTON, D.C. April 10, 2025 / The Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA), an independent 501(c)(6) non-profit organization led by key members of the commercial drone industry, is pleased to announce Jim O'Sullivan, Head of Drone Strategy at DoorDash, has joined its Board of Directors. DoorDash, a leading technology company revolutionizing local commerce through its delivery platform, is advancing its drone delivery capabilities to enhance customer and merchant service.

Jim O'Sullivan brings a dynamic blend of technology, logistics, and aviation leadership to the CDA. In his role at DoorDash since January of this year, he has spearheaded the company’s efforts to integrate drone delivery into its platform, optimizing last-mile solutions. Prior to joining DoorDash, Jim served as VP of Regulatory Strategy and Special Projects for Matternet and the company’s Head of Regulatory Strategy and Head of Flight Systems and Electronics. Jim is an FAA Commercial Pilot, a UAS Remote Pilot, and a Command Pilot for Angel Flight West, for which he volunteers his time by providing free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions.
