Organization Overview
DefendUAS is a U.S. airspace security and drone-detection technology company building a streetlight-mounted low-altitude sensor network for urban airspace awareness. Our plug-and-play device uses the standard ANSI C136.41 NEMA streetlight socket to host RF, Remote ID, radar, and optical sensors, turning existing city infrastructure into a scalable detection grid.
Through our DroneDaaS platform, we provide continuous monitoring, data fusion, and integration with FAA UTM and Remote ID systems, as well as future FAA traffic management platforms now under development. Our system is designed to plug directly into emerging national standards so cities, states, and agencies can share airspace awareness data in real time.
DefendUAS works with federal, state, and municipal partners to deploy pilot networks and support national counter-UAS preparedness initiatives. Our mission aligns with the Commercial Drone Alliance by advancing safe, secure, and scalable integration of drones into the national airspace and enabling the next generation of commercial UAS operations and urban aviation.
