Statement from the Commercial Drone Alliance regarding its position on the recently released FAA Reauthorization language from the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair:

"The Commercial Drone Alliance is pleased that provisions intended to expand commercial drone operations have been included in the FAA Reauthorization text released today.  We are reviewing the details of the legislation now, and we will have a more detailed response soon.  But as a general matter we are encouraged that Congress clearly recognizes the safety, security and efficiency benefits of commercial drones. Facilitating UTM implementation, streamlining the permitting process, and promoting UAS registration are all worthy goals reflected in the legislation. We hope that Congress and the Administration will continue to work together to enable expanded commercial operations in the U.S.”
